What is stress management Coaching Stress Management Coach

Stress Management Coaching helps people learn how to manage stress in a healthy way. This type of coaching involves learning the difference between good stress and harmful stress and the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, learning how to identify when you are feeling stressed and where in your body you are experiencing stress. Different stress relieving techniques are then taught to help you alleviate the distress. For example, some people might use relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or progressive muscle relaxation while others might use cognitive techniques such as reframing, mindfulness, affirmations, or positive thinking. There is no one size fits all.

A Stress Management Coach teaches you different ways to manage distress, including how to relax your body and mind, how to better deal with difficult situations, and how to take better care of your physical and emotional health. Just like with any other kind of coaching, Stress Management Coaching can help you make transformational changes in your life that will lead to feeling happier and more relaxed overall.

What to Expect

All clients will receive intake forms to complete prior to their first visit, which will be reviewed by the coach and any questions/concerns addressed during the session.  Goals and an action plan will be established. The Coach will provide an overview of the framework of the coach-client relationship. Time will be allocated for questions and a reflective exercise will be assigned, to be completed prior to the next session. Clients are encouraged to reach out in between sessions if they have any questions or concerns.
